Framed by the Light
Contrast in light and shadow plays a prominent role in my project Framed by the Light. I actively seek silhouetted figures who are framed by light, and the light is then cloaked in deep shadows. The use of black and white and quality of light transforms the city into a world of mysterious forms; the human figure acting as an anchor to reality. This is a magical place full of contrast, lines and textures and I find I’m drawn to the darker corners of this realm which make the momentary glimpses of light all the more precious.
